Doers Endorsed: Brady Brammer

Who is Brady Brammer, and why are we endorsing him for Utah State Senate, District 21?

“Brady Brammer is deeply committed to promoting success for Utah families by reducing their tax burden while responsibly addressing infrastructure, water, and education. Brady is one of the most innovative lawmakers in Utah — authoring the nation’s first pro-life bill requiring unwed fathers to share pregnancy healthcare costs, crafting one of the country’s first laws outlawing AI-generated child pornography, and creating Utah’s Business and Chancery Court. He legislates to protect children, which has resulted in victory over Big Tobacco/Big Vape lobbying groups and the strictest vaping law in the country. Brady has created effective laws to protect senior citizens against elder abuse and financial fraud, most recently by adding guardrails onto transactions made at crypto ATMs. His focus on family-centered values, fiscal conservatism, business growth, and public safety provides the principled leadership District 21 demands.”

Why This Seat Matters

The Utah Senate is the upper chamber of the state legislature — 29 senators who shape state law on everything from tax policy and public safety to education and infrastructure. District 21 sits in Utah County North, one of the fastest-growing parts of the state, where the decisions made in the Senate chamber have direct consequences for families and communities. The primary is June 23, 2026, and whoever wins will carry District 21’s voice into one of the most consequential legislative bodies in Utah.

Meet Brady

Brady Brammer has been building toward this work for most of his adult life. A Highland resident, he and his wife, Nicki, have put down roots in the community he now represents — and his path into public service started long before he ever ran for the legislature. He spent more than five years on the Highland City Planning Commission, working through the zoning and development questions that arise when a community grows faster than it’s prepared for. He’s also a practicing attorney whose work has represented cities, school districts, businesses, and individuals on governmental legal matters, and an adjunct professor at BYU where he teaches ethics in the MPA program and business law in the accounting program. That combination isn’t incidental. It shapes how he thinks about governance.

In 2019, he was elected to the Utah House of Representatives, where he served six years before being elected to the Senate in 2024. His time in the House wasn’t quiet. He authored the nation’s first pro-life bill requiring unwed fathers to share pregnancy healthcare costs, helped craft one of the country’s first laws outlawing AI-generated child pornography, and created Utah’s Business and Chancery Court. He took on Big Tobacco and Big Vape — and won, producing the strictest vaping law in the country. He built a record that goes well beyond talking points.

Now, as the incumbent for District 21, he’s asking voters to send him back to keep doing the work. His case is straightforward: the issues facing Utah County — growth, infrastructure, water, family stability — demand real experience at the table. He has it.

What He’s Running On

Fiscal Responsibility & Tax Relief — Brady’s position is that Utah families are overtaxed and that government should do more with less. He’s been a consistent vote for tax cuts and disciplined budgeting throughout his legislative career, and he’s not running on hypotheticals. He can point to the record.

Child Safety — From authoring laws against AI-generated child pornography to winning a bruising fight with tobacco and vape industry lobbyists to protect kids from nicotine addiction, his commitment to child safety isn’t rhetorical — it’s documented. He’ll keep pushing.

Family Values — Brady believes the legislature’s job includes making life more workable for Utah families — protecting parents’ rights, standing up for life, and resisting policies that make it harder to raise a family in a community you want to live in. His pro-life legislation, which extended accountability to both parents in an unplanned pregnancy, is that philosophy in practice.

The Field

Brady Brammer won 68.22% of the delegate vote at the Utah County North convention, clinching the Republican nomination — though a primary will still be held because his opponent collected signatures. The convention confirmed what we already knew: Brady has the experience, the proven track record, and the institutional knowledge to keep delivering for District 21. Challengers made their case; Brady showed his work. That's why we're proud to endorse him.
