ABOUT Clinton

Clint Okerlund is honored to represent the citizens of East Sandy in the Utah House of Representatives. He was born in Richfield, served a mission in Argentina, married the love of his life, graduated from BYU in Finance, received an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and had four children all in what seemed to be the blink of an eye. Now, his two oldest children are married and are students at BYU while is third serves a mission in Canada and his youngest enters his freshman year at Alta High School. Clint’s wife Megan works in the counseling center at Alta High.

Clint worked for 15 years as a corporate and commercial banker for Bank of America Merrill Lynch before leaving banking in 2019 to become the Chief Financial Officer at a Sandy Biotech company and as a fractional CFO at several other companies. His financial background as a cheapskate and a financial expert serves him well on the Revenue & Taxation, Transportation, Education Interim, and Community Development Appropriations committees where he serves. Aside from being a watchdog for taxpayer dollars, Clint is active in pushing legislation to improve our air quality and raising water levels in the Great Salt Lake.
