I have served in the Utah House of Representatives since 2015 representing Bountiful. I currently serve as the House Chair of the Social Services Appropriations Committee.

In recent years, my main focus has been on strengthening the State Medicaid department and addressing housing affordability. For my day job, I am a family physician for a private practice at Cope Family Medicine/Ogden Clinic. This allows me daily insight into medical concerns, as well as how 

My main focus in recent years has been efforts to make sure that the State Medicaid program runs well, and to lower the cost of housing. In my day job, I am a family physician in private practice at Cope Family Medicine/Ogden Clinic. This gives me a great chance every day to hear from patients, not only about their health but their jobs, their industries, and how programs like Medicaid, disability services, and unemployment benefits are working for them.

My wife Beverly and I like math and pickleball and plug-in solar panels and hanging out with our 4 year old grand-daughter.
