Rod is a husband of 26 years, a proud father of five beautiful children, and a grandfather of two amazing little girls. He has had the privilege of being a youth pastor for the last 25 years. He also serves as an Honorary Wing Commander of the 388th Fighter Wing for the military and as a chaplain for the Salt Lake City Police Department.

With a degree in education, Rod was a teacher for 10 years. Rod also has a degree in counseling and temperament therapy, which he has used as a pastor to invest in the mental and spiritual well being of the community.

As a board member, he seeks to create a culture that is empowering for parents, encouraging and supportive for teachers, and safe, successful, and rich in academic excellence for students.
