ABOUT Tamara

Tamara “Tami” Tran is a proven conservative leader and Mayor of Kaysville, elected in 2021. Her leadership is focused on public safety, responsible growth, fiscal discipline, and transparent government while strengthening regional partnerships and expanding economic opportunity. She is known for leading with solutions, bringing people together, and building broad support to deliver results.

Born in Seoul, Korea, Tami was adopted and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1979. Her life reflects the promise of the American dream and the values of hard work, personal responsibility, and gratitude.

A business owner and job creator, Tami brings real-world private-sector experience to public service. She is committed to limited government, efficient use of taxpayer dollars, and pro-business policies that support families and strengthen local economies.

She serves on multiple boards and commissions across Davis County and the State of Utah, building strong working relationships that are critical to delivering results for Senate District 6. She also serves as Chair of the Davis Technical College Board of Trustees and Past Chair of the Davis County Council of Governments. Previously, she served as a City Council Member.

Tami has earned a reputation as a collaborative leader who listens, uses data to guide decisions, builds consensus, and delivers practical, common-sense solutions. She stands up for her constituents and doesn't back down.

A lifelong Republican and Davis County delegate, she and her husband have been married for 35 years and are proud parents and grandparents. Her leadership is grounded in faith, family, service, and a commitment to leave every community stronger than she found it.
